About

What do Greta Thunberg, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Elon Musk have in common? They are admired villains.

A Villain, as defined by Dorian Drange, is an archetype and journey for anyone who seeks to change their world. This change can be ending a relationship, getting unstuck from being the “nice guy”, or starting a movement.

The villain’s journey invites us to step into the dark parts of our psyche and not shrink from the voices — both internal and external — that resist the change we seek. Our literature, cinema, and video games are rich in the symbols of the Villain. Drange seeks to identify the common threads in our modern stories and myths, giving villains the strength to implement their plans for change.

I am not here to save you. I am here to help you find the art of what is inside you.

So that you can save the rest of us.

That’s what I’m about.

Why have you chosen to come to this page? Are you wondering if I’m for real? Would it be easier for you if I was only doing this to manipulate you? Would you be able to keep your life the same if I was a villain?

When I come upon the weak, I give them comfort.
When I come upon the strong, I challenge them.
May the weak forgive me for seeing not their strength.

I realized I was the villain in my own story, intentionally destroying my wife's world through calculated betrayal and abuse.
An old man pleading with an angel in white robes and white wings. The angel is looking away.
What if you knew your purpose? How would that change things for you?
